The Dare

A couple of shots, then
she gave me the dare -
with that now or
that never, scenario

"We're become of a
certain age," she said.
“I’ll be damned if i'm
gonna let it define us."

I flinched for a second
then went to numb, having
tackled far greater a pain
than this;

I turned to my sister
and said "your nose or
your nipple, girlfriend,
you’re next.”
