A History of Projection

The Sinclairs came about
through the simultaneous vibrating
of a group of 100 masked individuals
collectively known as Patti & Fred.
Their arrival marked what has become known as the eighties.

When the Sinclairs first became noticed
they were holding record players
out in front of themselves
hoping to get the people more comfortable
with thinking in images.

The Sinclairs were deemed to be projections;
the consensus was to only talk about them as possibilities.
They had no speakers, which made them appear silent.

Patti & Fred prepared for what they called
the future.

The consistent pattern of vibrations
gave the Sinclairs a false sense of security.

The label on their spinning vinyl said
Check Your Head.

During what became known as the nineties
Patti & Fred covered thousands of pianos
with mashed potatoes and gravy;
their own recipe.

They took great caution in how they indulged
the pride they got from their gravy,
until some grew to be zealots
in the pride they took in their spuds.

This shift in consistency
caused the masked collective
to split into individual groups
consisting of five Patties & five Freds
bringing about an era of phase cancelation
we have learned to refer to as the aughts.

During this time, the resulting sound
from the individual groups' vibrations
flipped phase with each other
resulting in the Patties & Freds being unable to hear.

Their time alone provided the realization
they had editing capabilities--
the ability to shift their vibrations several milliseconds into the future
pulling each group just far enough apart from the other to be heard.
They would go on to develop what has become known as dissonance.

Not being taken seriously had its advantages.
Not being seen as anything more than a possibility,
the Sinclairs were able to develop their projections
without arousing suspicion. They subtly appeared
in the surrounding environment by establishing themselves
as minor celebrities; becoming back-up singers and mayors,
weatherman and third base coaches, more and more inserting
what have become known as memes into things the people take for granted.

The Sinclairs honed their skills and outlined the full spectrum;
they met by the hundreds convening at secret institutes
disguised as old age homes, and wind turbine factories.

The Sinclairs codified their ideals and collaborated on methods
of incorporating their projections into the hearts and minds of the people.
The consensus was this was not the right time
to reveal the source of the memes
it was the possibilities that were making them so attractive
this quickly brought about what became known as the internet.
