Apollo Deal (ze/hir) is a 19-year-old researcher pursuing emergent things. The recipient of the 2021 Academy of American Poets Prize for hir university and three-time winner of the National YoungArts competition, hir poetry has also been nationally recognized by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers. Deal's work appears or is forthcoming in journals including Poets.org, The Rumpus, The Doctor T.J. Eckleburg Review, Lunch Ticket, and Yes Poetry. Ze has published three chapbooks: Cool Talks, Dead I Guess (Bone & Ink Press, 2020) and The Messiah's Customary Diner Booth (Unsolicited Press, 2021) are in print.
