Jyl Anais is a poet and visual artist who works at the intersections of a variety of media. Her debut poetry collection, Soft Out Spoken, was released in 2019 by Sin Miedo Press. She co produced FIRE, a spoken word album based on her collection, in 2020. Her work appears in Rising Voices: Poems Toward A Social Justice Revolution, We Are The Changemakers, Santa Clara Review, Protectors 2: Heroes, and Asylum Magazine for Democratic Psychiatry among others. Originally from Trinidad, she now lives in the United States where she works as a medium and faces the blank page. Her second poetry collection, Prime, will be released in Fall 2022.
