Object Permanence

According to whattoexpect.com,
5 month old infants begin to understand
object permanence: that objects
beyond view continue to exist.
At 4:36am, onesies still crusty
with poop clog the sink.  On the couch,
piles of toys still need washing.   
But the iresine plant resists gravity,
whereas last night it drooped.
I am grateful my husband
remembered to keep it alive.
