KALEIDOSCOPE

by

Julian Mithra

Julian Mithra hovers between genders and genres, border-mongering and -mongreling. If the Color Is Fugitive (Nomadic Press, 2018) stages an escape from frontier taxonomies and was a finalist for a Lambda Literary Award. A current longform project plays with transmasculinity in The City of Brotherly Love, 1829, amidst the Second Great Awakening and under the shadow of Jacksonian autocracy. Zines on queer embodiment collage obsolete scientific textbooks to remix femme/nonbinary affinities, embellished with leather and wood. An imaginary archive of more-than-human responses to extractive technologies during the Depression, Unearthingly, is forthcoming on KERNPUNKT in summer 2022.
